Senior Professional Civil Engineer
Halff has an opening for a Senior Professional Civil Engineer to lead Large-scale Infrastructure Design Projects in our Richardson or Fort Worth, TX offices. The desired candidate will be trustworthy, team-oriented, self-motivated, capable of solving complex infrastructure problems, and a proactive-client manager.
The person in this position will lead and manage projects and staff to deliver infrastructure projects and collaborate to provide support and deliverables to clients. Good communication and management skills are essential to this role.

Responsibilities will include project management for the design of infrastructure projects; client engagement through meetings, correspondence, technical writing, and presentations; staff management and project task delegation; and collaboration with project-delivery teams and staff development. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the willingness and ability to strengthen and develop relationships with clients, junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with PE license in Texas
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in managing infrastructure projects
  • Municipal, state, and/or federal client experience
  • Complete project lifecycle experience including project pursuits, project scoping, planning, budgeting, management, design phase, construction phase and project close-out
  • Experience with technical presentations for staff and clients

  • Critical thinking to solve design and management issues associated with infrastructure projects
  • Project management experience delivering infrastructure projects with a construction value greater than $25 million
  • Accountability for successful completion of tasks
  • Resource allocation and staff management
  • Communication and collaboration skills to develop junior staff skills and provide mentorship
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • QA/QC implementation
  • Ability to monitor/adjust effort to meet schedule and budget requirements
  • Experience working with cities and agencies in the DFW Metroplex
