MANAGER, TAX

JOB SUMMARY
Under broad direction of the Director Corporate Tax manages the global tax provision process, U.S. federal & state tax compliance or international tax aspects (compliance, provision, etc.) of the company's worldwide operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation and/or review of quarterly and annual income tax provision under US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, preparation and/or review of ASC 740-10 and ASC 718 (123R) calculations, review of income and franchise tax returns, cross-training, tax research and special projects. Supports SOX compliance and provides assistance with both internal and external tax and accounting audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage federal, state, and international tax accounting, tax planning, tax reporting, and tax compliance processes.
  • Review of federal, state, and international tax returns.
  • Preparation / review of current and deferred income tax accruals under IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
  • At the direction of the Director Corporate Tax manage and/or assist with audit defense.
  • Preparation/review of quarterly and annual ASC-740 income tax provision.
  • Preparation / review of ASC 740-10 and ASC 718 (123R) calculations.
  • Preparation/review of effective tax rate calculations.
  • Preparation/review of tax footnotes to financial statements.
  • Preparation/review of return to provision adjustments (true-up calculations).
  • Review tax reporting data received from foreign locations.
  • Review reports generated from Tax Provision and Tax Compliance Software tools.
  • At the direction of the Director Corporate Tax assist with documentation and registration process for contracts in international locations.
  • Provide tax support for international locations.
  • Be familiar with the tax laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the company operates and keep current on changes/developments.
  • Ensure that tax processes comply with SOX requirements.
  • Ensure that general ledger tax accounts are reconciled and that work paper files support the account balances.
  • Coordinate and manage federal, state and international tax audits as needed.
  • Research and present conclusions on technical tax issues as needed.
  • At the direction of the Director Corporate Tax assist on special projects as needed.
  • Available to travel on occasion to support corporate tax functions.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance;
A minimum of 5 years of public accounting / corporate tax experience;
Strong experience ASC 740 and SOX compliance,
Experience with U.S. consolidated tax return regulations,
Experience with U.S. and international tax issues is preferred.
Experience using OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret tax and accounting rules, regulations, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and process documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and taxing authorities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Public Accountant certification is REQUIRED.
