Job Description

We are holding a HIRING EVENT FROM April 30th-May 2nd at our Olameter DPG Office (7808 Cherry Creek S Drive Unit 211, Denver, CO 80231), from 10am-5pm, head over to Indeed to book a time slot! -

We're currently hiring for Full Time Utility Locator Technicians in Denver, CO.

Starting wage ranging from $21-$27/hour depending on experience.

$4,000 sign on bonus for EXPERIENCED techs with verified 2 years of line locating (power and/or gas) experience!

All of our field technicians are provided with:

Responsibilities:

Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: Drug test, background check, and driving record
  • Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
  • Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule

Working Conditions and Hours:

  • Outdoor work environment
  • Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
  • Normal working hours are 7am - 5pm Monday through Friday; limited work hours on weekends except for periodic on-call duty and mass workloads

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests
  • Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
  • Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
