At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Electrical Engineer to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
In this role you will develop, integrate, and test avionics systems for these and many upcoming systems and X-planes currently in our pipeline. You will be part of a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and rapid development environment, with a license to tackle complex problems and the opportunity to make immediate contributions towards their solution. You have strong engineering fundamentals, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the enthusiasm to take on new tasks and develop new skills.

Your responsibilities:
- Electronic system and subsystem definition and development
- Avionics subject matter expertise in support of multiple programs
- Project leadership for electrical systems and subsystem design
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering or other STEM related fields
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, or US Permanent Resident/Green card holder)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent problem solving and interdisciplinary engineering skills
- Relevant education or experience in one or more of these disciplines:
- Avionics system architecture and concept design, trade space exploration and selection, design definition, and multi-objective design optimization
- Aircraft power distribution, electrical load analysis, electro-mechanical actuation, and electric propulsion
- Electrical and electronic circuit analysis, design, modeling, and simulation
- Definition and execution of bench and field test setups, operation of electronic/electrical test and measurement equipment
- Electrical wiring and harnessing design
- Software development using multiple of the following languages: C, C++, Python, Matlab, Simulink
