Overview

The Project Manager will manage five or more complex projects for planning distribution work.

Responsibilities
    Analyzes data and user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Provides management oversight across multiple simultaneous projects or project tracts within a Program.
  • Operates in a business or technical environment, using analytical and evaluative techniques.
  • Has extensive experience in a particular functional area.
  • Confers with personnel of organizational units and identifies specific input and output requirements.
  • Conducts operational effectiveness reviews.
  • Develops or updates functional or operational manuals outlining established procedures in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Performs scenario development, feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Applies business-wide criteria for planning, analysis, design, development, and maintenance of facilities and systems across a major sector of the function or business applications.
  • Must be capable of exercising discretion and independent judgment in the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Coordinate portfolio functions for an aggregate of projects (or sub-projects).
  • Prioritize projects, sub-projects, or tasks based on key business drivers.
  • Identify portfolio or project risks.
  • Develop, approve, and apply necessary process improvements to a workflow process for a project.
  • Manage workflow via accountability metrics.
  • Forecast and coordinate key resources types.
  • Drive towards continuous improvements in performance and ongoing efficiencies.
  • Own and deliver comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications
  • Gas experience required.
  • Pipeline, Gas Facilities experience is a plus.
  • Planning Distribution Work experience required.
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent with project engineering experience. Master's Degree in Engineering, MBA, Professional Engineer license or graduate business training is highly desirable.
  • 8-14 years of Project Engineer/Manager experience.
  • Minimum of 3-8 years of specialized experience in multiple simultaneous Project and Facilities Development, IT Systems, Engineering, Construction, Business and related disciplines.
  • PMP, Agile or other Program Management certifications, training and/or demonstrated experience. IEEE, IEC participating member. Expert level leader and coach in simultaneous projects and programs, demonstrated communication skills - verbal, written and in presentation format. Ability to manage deliverables at all levels of the business structure from entry level to executive level management. Exemplary analytical cost management/cost control expertise including financial modeling, utilization of costing tools; SAP, Excel, and GAACP. Regulated utility exposure preferred.
  • Proven aptitude and demonstrated experience for high volume, complex projects and program management.
  • Ability to navigate the internal organizational procedures and can interpret policies/procedures.
  • Ability to communicate mission, objectives and safety philosophy in decision making and supervising the work of others.
  • Experience in managing a team/assigning work to team members.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills a must.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Fundamental understanding of cost management and corporate accounting reports.
  • Ability to maintain Company focus at all times.
  • Ability to make well-rounded decisions.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
