Your Team, Your Impact

Optics group in Westlake Village involves in the development of discrete components and integrated optics providing to the 800G ZR, 1.6T ZR, and linear direct drive optical transport networks.
The qualified candidate will work with a team of energetic, technically strong, multi-disciplined engineering team to validate the broadband amplifiers and Integrated Optics that will significantly increase the bandwidth of next-generation communication infrastructures to meet the today's demand for data capacity and power requirement.
Successful candidate will be part of the System Development team that would engage in Software scripting, Test/Validation of Marvell's Communication Integrated Circuits (ICs) and/or Marvell's Sub-system solutions. Candidate will be offered the opportunity to grow and be exposed to a broad range of engineering skills & responsibilities over time.

What You Can Expect

Job Responsibilities:
* Hands-on Silicon bring-up and Silicon debug
* Work with designers to debug, understand and document any issues that may arise during validation and do a root cause analysis to drive closure
* Help identify validation tests and develop one as required.
* Help identify and propose innovative validation metrology to enhance overall validation efficiency.
* Write, and review software used to automate bench testing.
* Help generate validation reports and review.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 2-3 years of related professional experience. Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 1-3 years of experience.

  • Good Understanding in the mixed signal/analog/digital ICs and blocks design fundamental such as TIAs, Drivers, DAC, ADC.
  • Good understanding in Microwave/ RF fundamental.
  • Proficient in Python or C-programming.
  • Good understanding of the operation and principles of test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes (with emphasis on jitter and noise analysis), bit error rate testers (including modulation/jitter sources), vector network analyzers.
  • Able to work across disciplines and manage time across several demands.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understand and analyze causes of noise and jitter.
  • Understand the system and block level design of the components and associated blocksand execute on the validation plan in a timely manner using standard test equipment such as Waveform Generators, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, etc and in-house tools
  • Understand Silicon Photonics test and measurement method.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

101,900 - 150,850, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
