The Accounting/Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ordering items for the facility and ensuring items arrive when needed.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Answer Phone & Greet Customers
Data entry & daily coordination of requisitions and purchase orders
Evaluation of sales tax status for purchases
Obtain pricing quotes from vendors
Weekly processing of PCard purchases
Manage Certificate of Liability process
Inventory Control & Office Supply ordering
Backup payroll processing
Assist Human Resources,Production Planning & Accountingdepartments with various administrative duties & reporting
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
High School/GED required; minimum 2 years experience in accounting or AS in Accounting in a manufacturing plant a plus
Minimum 2 years requisition/purchase order experience with emphasis in manufacturing sales tax exemption
Minimum 3 years experience in administrative /customer service
Must possess highly effective communication skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Requirements
Payroll experience preferred
Knowledge ofAS400a plus
