SUMMARY:
The Department of Engineering & Technology at Texas A&M University-Commerce invites applications for a non-tenure track position as an instructor in Electrical Engineering. The role requires advising students and fostering connections with local business/industry relevant to the discipline. Teaching responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of electrical engineering and technology management courses, demanding current professional expertise in these fields. Desired start date is Fall 2024.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Teach courses for the BS. Electrical Engineering, mainly the courses with Power emphasis, and some B.S. Technology Management courses. The topics include but not limited to: Power, Power Electronics, Digital Circuits, Digital Systems, Project Management, Project Scheduling, Risk Management, etc.
*Disseminate knowledge through presentations and publications
*Actively seek and attract industry funded partnerships
*Establish a network within the regional industries
*Mentor undergraduate electrical engineering students
*Actively engage and work cooperatively with faculty within the Department of Engineering & Technology
*Serve on selected departmental, college, and university committees
*Participate in all aspects of the department's activities
