Part Time/Casual Sales Assistants, Tech Connect - The Cornell Store

Cornell Store Tech Connect Sales Associates engage customers using relationship skills and inspire them to see what's possible with technology. In addition, they build quality relationships with customers, making them feel excited, confident, and appreciated while providing them with relevant and memorable solutions.

Cornell Store Tech Connect team members maintain knowledge of technology products and services through necessary training and certifications as well as self-development. The sales associate learns fundamental sales and customer service skills.

Our team supports the operational processes of sales, returns, and exchanges when working in customer service. They also work closely with other employees to demonstrate, promote, and sell products and services within all store sales zones as needed.

Hire Rate: $16.25 /hour

Schedule: Variable, based on availability, business needs, and work performance; some nights, weekends and holidays may be required

All positions are part-time casual (19 hours per week or less), non-benefits eligible.


General Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions such as sales orders, returns and exchanges
  • Demonstrate, advise, promote, sell, and set up new products & services within specified sales zones as needed
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards within the department
  • Maintain knowledge of technology products and services through necessary trainings and certifications as well as self-development

Required Qualifications-

  • Must have a pleasant personality, excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public
  • Moderate computer/systems competency
  • Demonstrated experience in being a team player, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders and lift and/or move 25-50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Prior retail sales experience is helpful but not required.
