Mountain West Bank is looking for a talented Credit Analyst III for our outstanding Team in Spokane Valley, WA. The CA III will be responsible for analyzing complex financial data, assisting with preparation of credit authorizations, performing annual commercial credit reviews, preparing commercial real estate in-house evaluations, and assisting with management of the commercial loan portfolio. Ability to coach and mentor team members. This is a full time, salaried, position Monday through Friday. In addition to that we offer an amazing PTO package as well as a robust 401-K , plus Profit Sharing benefits! DOE $76,394.00 yr. +.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and/or oversees the preparation of credit authorizations, supporting documents and loan information sheets for new and existing accounts Spreads and/or analyzes financial statements and tax returns of potential and existing customers using appropriate tools and credit criteria.
  • Independently analyzes more complex financial statements and tax returns and develop and convey questions and comments pertaining to financial trends and relevant borrower and industry data.
  • Analyze and research the value of collateral securing loans including preparation of internal commercial real estate evaluation forms.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of lending policies, procedures and practices of the bank.
  • Coaches and trains other team members as needed. Provides leadership within the department, bank and community.
  • Actively participates in Bank related and community volunteer events.
  • Communicate with borrowers to obtain additional information, ask questions, etc.
  • Supports Relationship Managers in related portfolio management activities.
  • Monitor borrower's financial condition, covenant compliance, and communicate deterioration or changes in borrower financial condition.
  • Maintain service level expectations as defined by the bank.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with Bank policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.


About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting or related experience.

  • 8 year experience as a credit analyst in a banking environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of Jack Henry systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
