Responsibilities

Sabre is seeking an Audio Visual Engineer experienced in installing, configuring and manage an enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network. As an AV Engineer on our team, you'll work with Video Voice over IP, a reliable network to support critical missions. You'll collaborate with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of telephony network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to share your expertise with IP Telephony, naval systems, and cybersecurity while broadening your network engineering work.

The AV Engineer monitors and responds to complex hardware and software problems. Interfaces with contractor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Maintains various systems including Data VOIP, wireless and VTC.

  • Multimedia: Video Conferencing/Teleconferencing, CODEC, Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom, Telepresence, Displays, Lifesize, Digital Signage Service (DSS), Internet Protocol TV, Application Space (AppSpace), etc. Telecommunications: Avaya/Avaya Communications Service (ACU), Cisco, Voice over IP (VOIP), Cisco Call Manager, encryption devices, PSTN, DSN, ISDN, etc.

Program Overview: This position supports the Naval Sea Systems Command's Enterprise Information Technology /Command Information Officer ( SEA 00I EITO/CIO). SEA 00I provides management and compliance of Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT), cybersecurity, and Information Systems (IS) lifecycle management and compliance for the NAVSEA Enterprise. The NAVSEA Enterprise is comprised of over 35 work sites worldwide including NAVSEA Headquarters (HQ), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), Warfare Centers, Shipyards and Supervisors of Shipbuilding and more than 60,000 users.

Location: Onsite - Washington Navy Yard (Washington, DC)


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Experience directly related experience in Systems Engineering supporting Microsoft/Red Hat environments OR Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining all aspects of VoIP network infrastructure, including Racking and cabling LAN, VoIP, VPN, and Network Security
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCM, voice and survivable remote site telephony gateways, STIGS, encryption protocols, secure telephony, including STE and vIPER
  • Ability to configure routers, switches, and gateways
  • Ability to identify and use CAT 6, single and multi-mode cabling
  • Ability to support trouble tickets and incidents using ServiceNow
  • Security + and CCNP Voice and Collaboration Certification

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ATO package requirements, network architecture and design
  • Knowledge of analog systems, Definity, POTS, broadband circuit

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
