The GOM Supply Chain - Drilling & Completions Category Manager will be part of the GOM SCM Drilling & Completions Department and will support the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This will be done by working closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.

Will be responsible to independently identify and lead sourcing opportunities, evaluate commercial and technical bid packages and negotiate and execute contracts in support of the Gulf of Mexico Drilling & Completions Supply Chain Operations Team. Will work with multiple proponents to execute strategies that ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials and services while demonstrating continuous improvement as measured by value created and safety performance.

Essential Job Duties
* Managing Drilling and/or Completions Upstream contracts and corresponding sourcing and procurement strategies for Gulf of Mexico oil and gas assets. Contract management responsibilities include identifying sourcing events, executing new contracts, term extensions, commercial amendments and terminating non-utilized contracts.
* Work with D&C, Legal, HSE and the different stakeholder groups to qualify, source and contract drilling service suppliers. Determine appropriate tender recipients for consideration in bids and proposals. Maintain and distribute lists of qualified vendors for each drilling or completions event.
* Act as the focal point in implementing critical category sourcing strategies for key categories that support the assets.
* Provide service supplier performance management results to the Director SCM, Managers, and applicable stakeholders.
* Develop working relationships that motivate service providers to collaborate and deliver level of service and to facilitate the resolution of issues.
* Perform market analyses and compare to rig schedule to identify supply risks / opportunities.
* Work with the stakeholders to devise contracting strategies and create incentivized contracts where appropriate to maximize value created.
* Provide scheduling, coordinating, and support for contracting activities and lead contract negotiations.
* Assist Supply Chain Manager as required on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:
* Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Distribution.
* 8+ years' experience supporting drilling and/or completions supply chain functions from operator or service company perspective. Including strategic sourcing, tactical procurement, and inventory management. (Corresponding relevant industry experience in Oil and Gas or Service Company operations)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Strong communication skills and be able to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise, coherent manner.
* Strong knowledge of basic analytical and office software programs.
* Able to work well with others both within and across functional boundaries.
* Basic project management skills.
* Strong action orientation.
* Adaptable and customer focused in a rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to lead teams and work well across boundaries.
* Ability to influence key stakeholders.
* Exhibit a high degree of ethics/integrity.

* Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) models (Oracle, SAP).

Desired:
* MBA and CPSM preferred.
* Supply Chain Management portfolio experience in Drilling or Completions Engineering.
* Robust understanding of financial indicators and has ability to perform sound economic analysis (ROI, cash flow analysis, lease vs. buy, microeconomics).
