Why do we need you ?

Reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is a high-performing, results-oriented marketing generalist who plays an important role in helping to operate a well-functioning marketing department. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, execution, and collaboration skills; an operational mindset; bias toward action; hunger for learning; and excellent coordination and communication abilities that will enable them to work fluidly with a large team and many stakeholders across the company. As the liaison for the corporate marketing team, this individual's personal presentation and customer service orientation will reflect on the entire team, and it's important that they embody the team values and positively represent the department across the company.

The Marketing Specialist will provide essential team support to the VP of Marketing and assist in day-to-day tasks, including scheduling and planning meetings; coordinating with business partners on collaborative plans; and acting as a liaison with other departments to ensure seamless communication. They will support a variety of tasks that enable the department to run smoothly and efficiently, and step in to help as needed, bringing industrious and efficient energy to tackling and accomplishing task lists.

  • Handle departmental budgets, vendor management, and internal reporting cycles, and hold day-to-day responsibility for ensuring accuracy and currency of the Corporate Marketing budget at any given point in the cycle
  • Collaborate with internal budget owners to build visibility and collaboration to the planned and actual spends, flag and resolve anomalies, and play an essential support role in ensuring responsible, efficient cost management for the Corporate Marketing team
  • Help build processes and assist in creating operational models for delivery that achieve continuous improvement in timeliness and quality of results
  • Support departmental planning and execution, and as such, will play an important role in strategic planning and execution
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining materials that represent the Corporate Marketing team to the organization, including the Sharepoint site, intake materials, and presentation materials.

The Marketing Specialist will work collaboratively with the VP of Corporate Marketing and other members of the Marketing Leadership team, bringing creative solutions to the table and independently implementing based on direction given. They should be analytical and possess an ability to evaluate solutions, deliver recommendations, and articulate within the Marketing team and to business stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or similar field preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive experience managing projects and initiatives
  • Fluent in technology, including productivity tools and software
  • Strong budget management skills with attention to detail and accountability for accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and past experience leading cross functional teams
  • Able to collaborate effectively - works well with others and is considered a true team player who works to build strong relationships
  • A self-starter with a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, and commitment to driving results
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to take data and translate it into clear reporting and actionable insights
