Treasury Internship

General Summary:

Researches and assists in the optimization of Treasury department processes and data management practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Researches and assists in the optimization of Treasury department processes by participating in the design and testing of transaction processing systems.
  • Researches and assists in the optimization of Treasury department data management practices by gathering and refining metadata, updating the data dictionary, and performing data quality assessments.
  • Aides in the development of management dashboards and fixed income investment presentations.
  • Assists with dealer interactions to obtain fixed income market information.
  • Participates in special projects such as the investigation of security liquidation timelines and data and other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of fixed income investment concepts at a level normally acquired through the completion of three years of collegiate level finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or quantitative analysis coursework.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills including interpersonal skills necessary to interact with internal contacts.
  • Analytical skills necessary to develop management reports and present findings to department staff.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computer, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software is required.

Working Conditions:

Normal hybrid office environment with flexibility.
