$3,000 sign-on bonus!

Job Description

  • The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for managing and providing age-appropriate Respiratory Care.

  • This includes immediate and short-term Respiratory Care needs of the patient.

  • The therapist scope of practice is determined by the KY Board of Respiratory Care and AARC Guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in respiratory therapy, or a graduate of a training program accredited by the American Medical Association's Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education or its equivalent in collaboration with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care or its equivalent, and who has successfully completed the registry examination for advanced respiratory therapists administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

  • Current Kentucky respiratory care license required.

  • Good clinical, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS preferred upon hire, required within 6 months of hire.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred upon hire, required prior to working in the NICU.

  • Recent respiratory care experience preferred.

  • Critical care and emergency care experience is preferred.

  • RRT preferred on hire, required within 180 days.
