Job Summary

The Manager of Finance IS (Information Systems) is a senior member of a team that assesses, implements, and administers the Finance department's suite of software and automation solutions. Reporting to the Director of Finance IS and Innovation, this role is responsible the maintenance and administration of the Finance department's suite of software systems and plays a key role in system and business process improvements.

This position will work directly with the Director and Associate Director of Finance IS and with various business subject matter experts to help identify gaps to create critical functional deliverables, such as functional designs, testing plan/scripts, and training documentation. The Manager must also understand project lifecycles, effective project management fundamentals, process analysis, and common project deliverables, such as requirements documentation and fit/gap analyses.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This is a position with the requirement to administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance & Operations and Supply Chain functional configuration and end-user support duties include, but are not limited to:

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system administration and capabilities:

  • Functional design and implementation of process improvements in D365.
  • Design and maintenance of Finance Business Processes in D365 and ancillary systems.
  • Design and maintenance of D365 Workflows.
  • Security Role design and definitions.
  • D365 Service Updates, including new features and functionality review, test scripts development for user acceptance testing.
  • Lead and assist with other tasks as needed.

Financial system administration and capabilities:

  • Consistency of financial information and meta data in all Finance ancillary systems and D365.
  • Training of end-users, including generating training documentation and conducting training sessions.
  • Triage functional resolution of D365 and financial systems' end-user issues submitted in the ticketing system.
  • Forward technical issues to managed services team and follow-up for resolution.

Process improvements:

  • Implementation of leading practices in D365, including documentation of configuration and end-user training updates.
  • Business process improvement initiatives, including, but not limited to, Procurement and Sourcing, Supply Chain/MRP, Project Management and Accounting, and automation of system processes.
  • Configuration documentation and functional design documentation.
  • End-user training documentation for D365 and ancillary systems.
  • Interdepartmental and Finance collaboration.
  • Lead and assist with other tasks as needed.

Corporate policies and SOX controls:

  • Adhere to SOX 404 ITGC controls and maintain compliance across all Enterprise Information Systems.
  • Gather evidence, lead, or assist in the preparation of SOX 404 review documentation.
  • Lead or assist with other tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and management (If applicable) in an effective manner consistent with Company Values towards defined Corporate Objectives.
  • Understands Company Policy and procedure to be able to guide direct reports appropriately, if applicable.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (or equivalent) required, Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • 5+ years minimum relevant work experience required.
  • Deep understanding of financial systems and experience in ERP system design and implementation.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 (or similar manufacturing ERP environment) preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Supply Chain self-study and certifications will be required and supported by Supernus. Supernus will fund training and certification costs, as well as provide work hours for study and examinations.
  • Passionate about business excellence and continuous improvement in processes.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity - must be able to represent and model integrity within the organization. Must possess and maintain the highest degree of security and confidentiality of information.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to create visual representation of business processes using swim lane diagrams, business process flows, data flows, functional breakdown structures, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities or deadlines.
  • Exercises superior judgment and works independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
