Control System Software Specialist

Indianapolis, IN

As the Local Software Specialist, you will lead development of embedded code for safety critical electronic engine control and monitoring systems. You may be involved at any stage of a project lifecycle from concept development, integrated/component testing through final production release.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strong development experience
  • Experience with the design and development of embedded software solutions
  • Understanding of DO-178C objectives for software development in safety critical systems
  • Experience with Integration (software/hardware and software/software) and component level testing
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (Design to release)
  • Understanding of software testing framework

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience -OR-
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in software engineering (development or testing) -OR-
  • JD/PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in embedded safety critical software engineering
  • Familiarity with Model based software design
  • Control systems experience
  • Development of verification and testing frameworks
  • Experience working in agile software development teams
  • Familiar with Model based software design and simulation (Simulink or similar)
  • Current (or ability to obtain/maintain) US DOD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to present technical data to senior engineers and management
