Description

Position Goals:

Develop and implement a sales strategy in support of bank goals and effectively manage commercial banking staff to generate new Commercial loans, deposits, and fees. Effectively manage the administration of assigned accounts to ensure proper reporting, early risk identification, and client engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Interview, hire, train and oversee the performance of commercial banking staff, which includes conducting performance appraisals, monitoring performance issues, planning for employee development and training, counseling, motivating, coaching, mentoring, etc.
  2. Develop and implement an aggressive regional sales and marketing strategy to develop new and existing relationships, this involves:
    1. Identifying and developing prospects into significant new relationships with yearly goals for income production.
    2. Implementing an aggressive sales call plan which aligns with established goals.
    3. Identifying and closing cross sell opportunities.
    4. Ensuring bank reporting tools are utilized for reporting progress.
    5. Target revenue will include new team production (annual) of at least $10MM or existing portfolio revenue generation of at least $20MM.
  3. Continually monitor current loans and customers" credit profile to ensure complete conformity with terms, which involves:
    1. Ensuring current credit and financial information is obtained as needed and/or that collateral is adequate.
    2. Reviewing financial problems with customers; provide expert advice as necessary.
    3. Direct accountability for loss prevention; determine necessary action to be taken on all loans, includes resolving marginal and delinquent loans.
    4. Remaining cognizant of developing trends.
  4. Extend credit within assigned limits to commercial customers, which involves:
    1. Interviewing applicants and obtaining information concerning their business needs, abilities and earnings, and assess credit risk.
    2. Obtaining and analyzing pertinent financial data or appraise the adequacy of collateral pledged.
    3. Reviewing, validating and/or approving letters of credit.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree OR Associate Degree/two (2) years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience list below).

Experience:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of commercial banking experience.
