We are seeking a highly energetic and entrepreneurial individual to lead the business development for existing and new transportation clients within the West Palm Beach metropolitan area and throughout southeast Florida.

The successful candidate will have a Florida network of transportation connections and regional expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Traffic and Transportation Planning
  • Roadway/Highway/Interstate Design
  • Traffic Engineering
  • Construction Management

Essential duties include:

  • Leads the development of a vision and strategic plan to further grow the Florida presence to increase sales and revenue for our transportation business.
  • Initiates, develops, and maintains close client relationships with Florida clients including, but not limited to, the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Palm Beach County, Broward County, and other municipal entities.
  • Responsible for client selection, prioritization and developing client account plans for assigned clients including identification of project opportunities and pursuits.
  • Leads, organizes, and develops a strategic client relationship plan to align our key team members with key client staff.
  • Responsible to lead Go/No-go decisions with input from key staff on all opportunities.
  • Leads pre-positioning efforts prior to client advertisement.
  • Leads and utilizes key local and market team members in business development efforts.
  • Responsible for managing and meeting the business development budget.
  • Understands the various selection processes and criteria used by our clients.
  • Develops creative and innovative approaches to project development.
  • Manages the preparation of proposals, presentations, contract procedures, client invoicing, and collections.
  • Actively participates in American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), or other professional organizations at the local and regional levels.
  • Maintains a network of professional contacts and recruits talented technical individuals to join the Stanley team.
  • Provides leadership during project execution.
  • Leads our efforts in Client Satisfaction.
  • Maintains marketing database and prepares routine reports on sales efforts.

Background requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree
  • Requires 20+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering or state department of transportation environment
  • Proven track record of successful networking
  • Must possess a working knowledge of funding sources for transportation projects

A licensed Professional Engineer, AICP, or PTOE registration/certification is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will enjoy the initiation, development, and maintenance of close client and staff relationships; the delivery of transportation projects; the execution of creative approaches to project development; and personal dedication to serving client needs.

The Client Service Manager will be based in West Palm Beach, Florida office with travel throughout the State of Florida and occasional trips out of state.

Base Compensation: $125,000 - $175,000
