Program Evaluator

Galter Health Sciences Library & Learning Center (GHSL) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks an Evaluator to join our team and help with the strategy and expand the reach of our rapidly growing evaluation portfolio. The Evaluator will manage and contribute to internal and external evaluation projects and workflows and contribute their evaluation expertise on behalf of Galter and Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) where they will collaboratively develop strategic priorities, evaluation plans, program reports, grant proposals, manuscripts, and other related activities. This position will work as part of Galter Library's Administration Department and will collaborate closely with the NUCATS Evaluation and Continuous Improvement Program, which is led by the GHSL Director. In addition to working closely with NUCATS, the Evaluator will join a robust community of practice with other evaluators working on projects in NUCATS and beyond.

TITLE: Evaluator

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, minimum $80K.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for tracking and evaluation activities of the Galter evaluation portfolio, including management of evaluation priorities and workflows to provide evaluation services effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify, develop, and implement metrics to measure process, outcomes, and impact of programs.
  • Design survey instruments and workflows for data collection, analyze, and communicate data to support recommendations for improvements and new initiatives.
  • Work with Director and other evaluation colleagues on data collection, management, and analysis; provide timely and accurate reports that clearly reflect program performance.
  • Work with Director to lead efforts to standardize evaluation metrics and other methods of data collection designed to measure research impact.
  • Collaborate with FSM colleagues to prepare reports and other communications for various stakeholders and situations.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives resulting in metric driven sustainable, high impact change for programs.
  • Ensure that day-to-day operations and evaluation services are appropriately managed, efficient, and effective.
  • Contributes to respectful and inclusive working environment and practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Successful completion of a Masters-level degree in in a relevant field or commensurate evaluation, process improvement, or related experience.
  • Must work well in an inclusive team-oriented environment and collaborate closely with others.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in person and virtually using a variety of media and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty/staff, students, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in strategic and operational planning, collaboration, and action.
