Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Civil / Water Resources Engineer in our Kennesaw, GA office. The position will have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations while solving our clients' water quality challenges related to NPDES, TMDLs and CSOs as driven by CWA requirements, and to develop experience related to water quality and biota sampling, data analysis, and reporting, while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling;
  • Civil/infrastructure design and site layout;
  • Stormwater management system planning, design, and analysis;
  • Erosion and sediment control (E&SC) design;
  • Green infrastructure (GI) and Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices (BMP) design;
  • Clean Water Act/National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance and permitting;
  • Site visits/field investigations; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science. (e.g., fisheries, biology, ecology etc.) (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year from hire. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience in one or more of civil design and H&H modeling software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8. (preferred)
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Proficiency in MS office tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
