The MaineHealth, Wound Healing and Hyperbarics is a fast-paced outpatient clinic that deals with complex wounds from head to toe using advanced wound therapie's. This position is a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities - the MA will see wound patients and also cover the front desk and/or perform various admin duties.
This is a 20/hr position with flexibility although working Wednesdays is required (8 hr day).

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA) is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required. An NH Med Tech License is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
