Nature and Scope


The Portfolio Manager would be responsible for the strategic planning, management and optimization of assigned products in the American Regent's Portfolio including launch planning, pricing and positioning, contracting strategy, lifecycle management, and discontinuation decisions. This individual works collaboratively with sales, marketing, contracts, finance, project management and logistics teams to coordinate and execute strategies that will build and launch a prioritized portfolio of products on time and maximize the long-term value of the portfolio to meet and exceed expectations.

  • Overall Portfolio Management including launch strategy, pricing and contracting strategy, inputs on forecasting and demand planning, monitoring of gross and contribution margins, seeking out efficiencies where feasible.
  • Development and monitoring of pricing strategies based on a sound understanding of pharmaceutical economics, regulations which impact pricing, gross to net and profitability calculations, market trends within relevant segments.
  • Leading contributor to AR's Commercial Pricing Committee, reviewing WAC and contract pricing on a regular basis, ensuring pricing consistency across customer types, and efficiently driving pricing decisions.
  • Utilizes internal and external lenses to develop go-to market strategies and optimized commercial launch plans.
  • Develops short to mid term financial plan for the assigned Portfolio and updates outlook on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensures financial modeling and key performance metrics for portfolio projects are developed in alignment with cross functional departments and understood by the project team.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of 3 years in pharmaceutical and generic injectables experience is preferred, with a particular focus managing a robust, highly differentiated portfolio of products. Pricing and contract analytics experience will be strongly considered as well.
  • MBA, Masters in Business Analytics, Pharmaceutical Science, Bachelors in Engineering, Statistics, etc.
  • Highly skilled strategist with proven analytical skills and affinity with complex data sets and experience working effectively cross functionally.
  • Strong working knowledge of the broader healthcare industry, including emerging trends and their future business impact.
  • Ability to personally engage cross functionally and to influence other to action.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and offer feasible solutions.
  • Must be able to travel 20-25% of the time.

Expected Salary Range:$105,000-$125,000The salary range, displayed is the minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.
