The Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Manager is responsible for the development, setup, maintenance, and training of all Financial Software Systems. This role is also responsible for supporting internal control requirements and providing for correct separation of duties within any financial application.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop, setup, manage and maintain the operation and functionality of various financial systems:
    • Workday Adaptive Planning
    • Sage Quantum
    • Unit4 Financials
    • Cybersource
    • FDC Purchase Order System
    • HighRadius
    • E-Automate
    • Macola 10
  • Setup and change functionality within any system, users, or GL structure.
  • Manage ongoing system setup and maintenance (chart of accounts, ledger structures, security, reporting, forms, workflows).
  • Facilitate alignment of financial systems and reporting to support business objectives, goals, metrics and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the I.T. department and the User base in order to maintain or enhance operation/functionality of accounting systems.
  • Develop and manage user training for financial systems and financial literacy.
  • Develop, manage and maintain internal controls through correct separation of roles, abilities, and allowed functionality in financial system.
  • Oversee audit and compliance checks/analyses/investigations of system configurations.
  • Identify, develop, and deploy tools to support process improvement.
  • Work within approved budget; Develop and implement cost saving measures.
  • Directly supervise assigned team of accounting professional(s). Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee(s); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee(s); addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure regular, open, and clear communication.
  • Conduct Team meetings and monthly employee one-to-one meetings.
  • Provide employee growth, development, and accountability through:
    • Delegation of challenging assignments which provides sufficient time and supervisor availability for training, questions, and review.
    • Organization of assignments, responsibilities, and projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in either Accounting or Information Systems Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, reasoning, critical thinking, decision-making, emotional intelligence, customer service and collaboration skills.
