GPU Systems Architect

The Role:

As a GPU Systems Architect, you will be the technical leader responsible for creating AMD's future accelerated computing platforms. You will interact with other key AMD engineering teams such as silicon design, packaging, signal integrity, platform validation, manufacturing, and operations. You will also help to assess and integrate strategic technologies such as network architectures, advanced memories, high speed interconnects, power delivery technologies, and cooling solutions into AMD's accelerated processing platforms. To be successful in the role, a candidate will also play a critical role in interacting with and influencing senior technical leaders in the industry from technology providers, system partners, and HPC / AI customers.

The Person:

The GPU Systems Architect will have excellent communication skills, planning skills, technical expertise, is a team player, possesses broad technical leadership skills` and critical problem solving and trouble shooting skills, is a self-starter and is well organized. They will be market savvy and comfortable in a multi-tasking environment.

Qualifications:

The GPU Systems Architect will be responsible for leading multi-discipline teams in platform architecture and definition. The successful candidate will have complex platform architectures from component to rack scale design.

  • 15+ years of experience
  • Strong expertise in platform and system architecture and design for complex AI/HPC computing and networking systems
  • Deep knowledge of CPU, GPU, Memory, and Interconnect Network Architecture for AI/ HPC systems.
  • Experience with high-speed interconnect topologies for large scale AI/HPC systems.
  • Experience in leading a team to develop complex platform from architecture definition to mass production.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze complex platform and system level issues.

Preferred Experience:

The GPU Systems Architect must have demonstrated the ability to be a constant force for innovation and improvement throughout their career. The successful candidate must have experience as a technical leader in leading-edge technology development.

Academic Credentials:

BS in Electrical Engineering is required. An advanced Engineering degree (MS or Ph.D.) would be an added plus.
