How you'll make an impact:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated React Native Software Developer - Automotive to join our team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the SiriusXM 360L application for automotive customers. The SiriusXM 360L application is a cutting-edge entertainment platform that delivers a personalized and immersive listening experience on Linux-powered automotive infotainment systems. Join our dynamic team and take part in shaping the future of in-car entertainment with the SiriusXM 360L Android application. Together, we will revolutionize the way automotive customers enjoy their audio content on the go.


What you'll do:

  • Design and develop advanced features and functionality for the SiriusXM 360L Automotive application for Linux-based OS, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Develop, test, and maintain Automotive SXM applications using React Native.
  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end systems.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely delivery of robust and high-performing applications.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute innovative ideas to drive the continuous improvement of the SiriusXM 360L application.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring the application meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, automate tests, and ensure high software quality throughout the development process.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the develop ment team, fostering their growth and development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 + years of experience as a React Native Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on app development.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with React Native, JavaScript, and related libraries.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Experience in developing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, best practices, and mobile UI/UX principles.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry or working on automotive-related projects is a plus.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
