Job Summary:

The IS Application Analyst is a subject matter specialist that works and builds independently to accomplish routine to moderately complex assignments.

The Application Analyst's work involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing application software. This role is highly focused on efficiency and works collaboratively to maximize workflows and improve the end-user experience while maintaining image, data, and systems integrity. In addition, the role provides technical support to assist customers in troubleshooting problems or concerns they encounter while using application(s) in their daily work. Application Analysts diagnose hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues. Programming also focuses on patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. Every task involves some level of HIPAA and Regulatory compliance assurance. All roles are expected to provide rotational on-call 24x7 support. All roles are required to document concerns and resolutions appropriately. All roles are expected to maintain a current knowledge base of industry standards and best practices. All roles are expected to obtain and/or maintain relevant certifications for the job and career ladder level (e.g. AGILE; EPIC; Microsoft; VMware VCAP; Network Engineering Certificate). Cross-Functional teamwork is expected at all levels.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Compiles requirements, creates solutions, and builds/configures/modifies applications.
  • Investigates business and operational process opportunities and provides implementation advice to stakeholders.
  • Monitors systems to ensure that system errors are resolved as soon as possible.
  • Maintain system security and follow industry best practices, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a related role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certificate
