About This Role:

The Electronics Design Laboratory at Kansas State University provides researchers with access to advanced electronics design and prototype development to assist with integrating electronics technology into research programs. EDL works in cooperation with many diverse academic departments for a symbiotic approach to problem solving.

The research engineering technologist position will :

  • Assemble and rework electronic PCBs
  • Construct prototype electronic systems
  • Maintain lab, lab equipment, and supplies
  • PCB CAD schematic entry and layout

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years relevant experience
  • This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology
  • Experience in PCB rework using a soldering iron, IR and hot air rework stations.
  • PCB assembly experience.
  • PCB CAD experience.
  • Good organizational skills.

$48,848 - $85,460
