Position: Broadcast Media Intern
Department: AE Media
Reporting to: Director of Broadcast Solutions
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
This position will assist AE Media's buying and audio production teams with research and projects for Advisors Excel and its clients. This individual will actively help with day-to-day needs of AE Media management as well as various tasks to support ongoing projects for the media buying and audio production teams. If you love radio, podcasts, and working with a great team in a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you!
What you'll do:
  • Responsible for conducting Radio & TV market research as assigned
  • Communicating with TV and radio stations
  • Update and maintain assigned Excel and Workfront reports
  • Upload weekly radio shows and podcasts to online platforms
  • Quality control for "Business of Advice" podcast
  • Quarterly website reviews for advisors to ensure accuracy of information pertaining to advisors' media placements
  • Data entry into media buying software
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Experience you'll bring:
  • High school diploma
  • Detail-oriented
  • Interest in marketing campaigns and measurement
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also as a collaborative team member
  • Consistently available for 20 to 25 hours per week for the duration of the internship
Bonus Points:
  • Pursuing a college degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent field
  • Interest in marketing, budgeting, media buying/selling, and advertising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic audio-editing skills or a willingness to learn
