Hexagon US Federal is looking for a Full Scope System Administrator and Program Manager to play a crucial role in managing and maintaining an organization's computer systems and networks. The System administrator will be supporting the customer on-site in the Nation al Capital Region. This role will also serve as a Project Manager of the team and must have good interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines, brief customer and manage teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Network and Server Management: Monitor, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Software and Hardware Maintenance: Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot software applications, operating systems, and hardware components.
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and conduct regular security audits to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Set up and manage data backup and recovery processes to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Patch Management: Keep systems up-to-date with the latest patches and updates to mitigate security risks.
  • Virtualization: Manage virtualized environments, such as VMware or Hyper-V, to optimize resource utilization.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor system performance, identify and resolve issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and user guides.
  • Capacity Planning: Evaluate system performance and plan for scalability to accommodate future growth.
  • Project Management: Must have good interpersonal skills, good oral and written skills, comfortable to brief the customer, mange teams of individuals, and meet deadlines. Ideal candidate will have previous experience with project/program management, familiar with financial reporting.
Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work
  • Certification in relevant technologies, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
  • Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), network protocols, and server hardware.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) may be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with end-users and team members.
  • Must be a US citizen with a TS/SCI
Required Level of Security Clearance: TS/SCI
