Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a mid-level Systems Test Engineer, to join a team assistingthe F-16 OFP- CTF at Eglin AFB, FL. The individual will work as part of a highly skilled integrated product team to develop and test new Radar, EW, datalinks, and advanced weapons combat capabilities for the F-16CM. The individual selected for this position will assist fellow test engineers and aircrew in the planning, execution, and reporting of highly complex test missions.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with applicable experience. Essential duties include:

Lead technical systems engineer supporting the F-16CM product team with recent knowledge of and familiarity with aircraft systems, flight operations, security guidance, and data processing software capabilities.

Assists leadership in the identification of test objectives, methods of testing, test support and documentation requirements for test projects relating to all F-16CM integrated systems to include, but not limited to, including Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Protection (EP), advanced communications, weapons integration, and multi-spectral sensors.

Provides assistance with analysis, risk mitigations and alternatives in Developmental and Operational testing with systems/subsystems and disciplines to ensure that the government receives systems that are functional and fully supportable for the field.

Other responsibilities include working closely with test aircrew and flight test engineers to create specialized mission sets for integrated testing missions, developing and editing aircrew mission guides, system documents and flight test reference documents.

Finally, the successful candidate will travel to offsite locations as required by the test team leads to support early integrated system development, refine testing procedures with vendors, and refine contribute to Combat Air Forces (CAF) systems knowledge.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a technical Bachelors' degree (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering) and 5-7 years test experience with fighter systems (primary) and/or fighter tactical datalinks (secondary).

Extensive experience (>10 years) in these areas may be acceptable with a technical Associate's Degree.

Applicants must have a working knowledge of Ethernet Standards and MIL STD 1553 interfaces and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software. They must also have a demonstrated ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations. In addition, the candidate must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually taking responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, and executing necessary tasks to succeed at assigned duties.

Candidates must be US Citizens and possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance (within five years) as well as the ability to gain access to classified vaults.

Desired Experience:

Master's Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering and flight test experience including aircraft systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering. Extensive years of test experience (10+) with fighter systems (primary) and/or fighter tactical datalinks. Experience with data analysis tools and Radar design or testing is highly desired.
