The Department of Educational Psychology seeks to hire non-tenure track faculty with proven teaching ability to instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in the Counseling Psychology/Counselor Education program in the Department of Educational Psychology. The Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education program grants a Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology and a Master's degree in Counselor Education. Faculty in the Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education program contribute to the instruction of students in both the Master's and Doctoral degree tracks. The mission of this program area is to prepare psychologists to work with problems of human behavior in a range of social processes and systems.

Candidates should have excellent organization and communication skills. Experience teaching at the University level is preferred, but exceptional experience will be considered. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon funding. The following courses are offered in the program and could be taught by interested applicants: Human Sexuality; School Counseling; Theories In Counseling; Professional Orientation & Ethics in Counseling; Advanced Ethics & Professional Issues in Counseling; Helping And Counseling Skills; Research Methodology For Practitioners; Multicultural Counseling; Dysfunction In Human Behavior and Social Organizations; Career Development; Life Span Development; Developmental Psychopathology; Family & Couples Interventions; and Addiction Counseling.

Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or related field.

Preferred: Experience in teaching at the University level.
