We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician in our Infrastructure Group in our Sarasota, FL office. Our CAD Technician will assist engineers and designers with preparation of construction plans for municipal, county and private development projects. In order to be considered for our Infrastructure CAD Technician position, we are seeking candidates who possess the following basic qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in CAD Drafting/Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related CAD experience related to coastal engineering projects such as seawall design, beach nourishment, coastal structures, coastal restoration, drainage and flood control, and coastal impact assessments.
  • Proficient in Civil3D. Experience with 3D modeling and surfaces is desired.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat highly preferred, along with survey data processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Enjoy responsibilities like:

  • Leading the CAD drafting and modeling of site civil, coastal, and land development projects in the FL region.
  • Assist projects teams in meeting schedules and deadlines.
  • Adherence to CAD standards and aid in the development of implementing GRAEF CAD and design standards and workflows.
  • Production of construction documents to include permit drawings, presentation graphics, and as-built surveys.
  • Mentoring other Technicians.
  • Reviewing new technology for use at GRAEF.
