Job Description
Responsibilities

Job title: Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Sabre is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in support of the Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO). These systems are a critical asset for the Navy, providing critical ISR capabilities for a variety of missions. By implementing robust cybersecurity measures, the AST PO ensuring that advanced sensors and its systems remain effective and secure.

Location: The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Point Mugu, CA.

Duties: As the ISSO, you will provide robust technical solutions that incorporate the necessary safeguards to protect national securitys, to included:

  • Author and establish enterprise policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Develop RMF security documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security controls to protect information systems throughout the environment.
  • Lead and conduct compliance and vulnerability reviews of operating systems.
  • Document the state of compliance with security requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations, execute appropriate risk mitigations, and oversee incident response activities.
  • Advise Government Managers and stakeholders on CS compliance requirements.
  • Communicate directly with executive leadership and provide security representation and guidance in senior leadership meetings
  • Perform security analyses of operational and development environments, threats, vulnerabilities, and internal interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
  • Advocate as a liaison to ensure that CS requirements are engineered into information technology solutions at the beginning of a task or project.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • IAM Level III compliant certification (CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP-ISSAP)
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or related years of experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong RMF CS background with a focus on implementing NIST, CNSSI 1253 and JSIG guidance.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the steps involved in implementing tasks required to support the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience working with System and Network Administrators, and assisting System Engineers (infrastructure and application) with defining and implementing CS and information system security requirements.
  • Ability to develop executive level briefings and author white papers as a result of product research.

Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires an active Top Secret DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
