Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently hiring for a Cost Analyst at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) in Lakehurst, NJ. NAWCADLKE is the premiere Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Aircraft Support Equipment (SE) research, development, test and evaluation, and sustainment installation supporting the US Navy. The primary job responsibilities of the Cost Analyst include, but are not limited to:

Knowledgebase/database familiarity:

  • Ability to retrieve (historical) data from predefined database
  • Scrub data for use in Excel modeling;use of statistical techniques
  • Ability to create databases/data sets or append to

Accounting:

  • Recognize basic elements of proposal
  • Direct labor, material, Overhead, indirect rates/cost, G&A
  • How these elements are put together to culminate in contract proposal
  • Ability to evaluate proposals by examining voluminous pages of technical, programmatic, financial information and drawing conclusion

Predictive Analytics:

  • Use historical data to predict future events
  • Ability to link technical parameters to pricing
  • Ability to apply appropriate economic/ technical metrics, production curves theory
  • Knowledge of generic CWS, sub-components product cost total

Public Speaking/Writing skills

  • Ability to author a presentation and brief/defend your analyses to customer
  • Organize your thoughts and explain your explain your conclusion in a convincing manner
  • Ability to interview clients/team members and extract technical and programmatic information

EXCEL based economic / financial models:

  • Using problem solving techniques to define the issue, organizing thoughts and translating into EXCEL functions/techniques
  • Create model to represent acquisition scenarios


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Math, Economics or related field, or at least 24 semesters hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics, is required. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
  • Some related experience and knowledge is required.
  • Candidate is required to pass a background investigation.
  • The selected candidate must be a U.S Citizen, and be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
