- Position Summary
The History/Humanities program at Allan Hancock College is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for in-person instructional vacancies. The assignment may include classes at the Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley Center, or Lompoc Federal Prison as needed. Positions are currently for Spring semester. Future classes may be taught at the Santa Maria campus or the Lompoc Valley Center, and could be a day/night classes.Please note that this is not a remote position.

- Essential Functions and Qualifications
* Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
* Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
* Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
* Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
* Teach all scheduled classes.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.- Minimum Qualifications
Master's in history/humanities
OR
Bachelor's in history
AND
Master's in political science, humanities, geography,
area studies, women's studies, social science or ethnic
studies

Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
