Job Description

As a Senior SharePoint Engineer, you will enforce and evolve design and development standards; manage the assignment of design and development tasks; oversee all technical aspects of project design and implement the overall systems architecture; and develop key application components. You will also work on technical issues and serve as top-tier technical support to the technical team and the users.

What You Will Do:

  • Use PowerShell scripting to build and generate reports to surface information, identify and analyze business problems.
  • Troubleshoot farm issues, support team members as needed and provide Tier 3 support of escalated cases. Areas of support include web parts, access requests, SP2013/2010 workflows and applications.
  • Maintain installed systems and support SharePoint upgrades
  • Produce and maintain documentation.
  • Perform feasibility analysis.
  • Conduct application quality assurance.
  • Participate in testing.
  • Provide and support governance policies and procedures including change management, perform assessment of design changes and impact.
  • Be responsible for the health and maintenance for all SharePoint servers. This will require routine maintenance and patching to all environments, backups/restores. Additionally, monitoring will remain crucial uptime and research areas for optimization to enhance performance of SharePoint.
  • Work independently on the tasks with minimum guidance.
  • Configuration and management of service applications such as Workflow manager services, Excel or Visio
  • Working with business requirements gathered by the business analyst; participate in design options and design meetings.
  • As a Tech Lead, you'll need to articulate technical concepts to a diverse audience (to developers, and to technical and non-technical stakeholders)

Required:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degrees (engineering, math, and/or science degrees are acceptable substitute degrees).
  • 10 + years of relevant experience including:
    • 5+ years:
      • Script/ automation experience building script for SharePoint upgrades.
      • SharePoint 2013 -2019/ Subscription Edition, SharePoint Content Databases
    • 3+ years:
      • Using ShareGate and a deep understanding of SharePoint API and how to manage SharePoint using the PowerShell/PNP
      • O365 power automate and power apps
  • Experience with SQL Server versions 2012, 2019 and 2022
  • Experience upgrading from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) and using PowerShell scripting to build and generate reports to surface information, identify and analyze business problems.
  • Extensive knowledge of windows server operation, maintenance, networking, active directory, windows internet information server (IIS) and SSL certificates.
  • Experience with patching and CU updates and SharePoint content/config databases
  • Experience with Rest APIs, ListData.svc, SharePoint designer workflows, SharePoint search
  • Experience with Bamboo products, Splunk, AWS Cloud
  • Experience with SharePoint infrastructure on AWS Cloud with knowledge of transition to TLS 1.3
  • Using script to perform Content databases- mount, backup, restore, copy, etc.
  • Office 365 experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Clear and Concise communication

Desired:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, XML, CSOM and REST

In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $102,900 to $132,300. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
