The U.S. Natural Gas Legal department supports stakeholders across the USNG footprint in all areas of U.S. Law. Our main client groups include Regulatory, Commercial, Business Development, Compliance, Environmental Pipeline Safety and Land.

What you'll do

• Legal research and analysis
• Preparation of legal memos
• Review and identification of legal issues
• FERC tariffs and other types of U.S. Legal contracts for our client groups
• Regulatory compliance research and application of statutes, regulations and guidance as it applies to various fact patterns
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Juris Doctorate degree program with at least one year of law school completed and at least one semester remaining following your work term
• Possess strong advocacy skills, both oral and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to support diverse client groups and handle multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
• Must exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives: safety, responsibility, integrity and collaboration
• Legally entitled to work in the U.S. permanently without requiring sponsorship
