The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation's naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy's submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. Job Description


There are challenging and rewarding construction projects going on at Naval Nuclear Lab's (NNL) Idaho location and we are seeking a Construction Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) to support these projects! We are looking for candidates interested working in an exciting and challenging teaming environment supporting the United States Navy.
The NNL Construction Team is responsible for building the future facilities and infrastructure needed to guarantee long-term reliable operation of the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) Site. These major construction projects include new technical and scientific buildings, new office buildings, major utility upgrades, and other key infrastructure upgrades to support the Long-Range Plan.
The Construction STR plays a critical role as the project execution team's field oversight representative that validates the subcontractor delivers the terms of their contract.
Primary Responsibilities include:
* Perform constructability reviews
* Provide input to Project Execution Plans
* Develop project surveillance plans
* Perform readiness to work reviews
* Perform focus surveillances
* Respond to unplanned events
* Document Subcontractor's performance to their contract via daily reports and deficiency reporting tools

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience; construction management, engineering, or safety experience required or; Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience; construction management, engineering, or safety experience required.
Preferred Skills

* Previous experience with construction report generation (daily and deficiency reporting)
* Construction Management or Engineering degrees preferred
* Construction management software
* Contract administration and/or contract management experience
* Field construction experience
* Ability to read specifications and construction drawings
* MS Word, MS Excel

Pay Range

$93,400- $140,000 annually

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
