Responsibilities
  • Daily presence on floor, positively engage employees and listen to their viewpoints to help improve safety.
  • Support audits (both internal Freudenberg and Government Agency related)
  • Support HSE Officer by updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
  • Ensure regulatory and management system-based checks are performed as scheduled.
  • Provide instruction and assistance to operational management on successful closure of recommendations and findings.
  • Support operations in injury and illness investigation in the event of an injury or other emergency situation.
  • Propose and own a project to improve the safety of all employees within the facility, with support of the HSE Officer.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program in an Environmental Health & Safety or related field at a recognized college or university.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, customer demands and flexibility in job assignments.
  • Strong commitment to safety, environmental, workplace organization and housekeeping.
  • Strong follow-up and attention to detail in fast-paced operations environments.
  • High/Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong/Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
