HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Tobacco Education Clearinghouse of CA (TECC) Program Manager, the Social Media Coordinator contributes to the development, execution, and regular evaluation of TECC's social media strategy. This position will create science-based, forward-thinking, inclusive content to promote statewide priorities in tobacco education, intervention, and treatment as identified by the California Tobacco Prevention Program (CTPP). Additionally, content that intersects with tobacco initiatives will also be prioritized based on need and social trends. The Social Media Coordinator will work to expand TECC's social media presence, engagement, and impact with priority populations. This position works remotely but the candidate/employee must be based in California.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- BA/BS degree and/or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with social media coordination or management in a professional setting.
- 1 to 3 years of experience with public health social media preferred.
- Ability to utilize marketing social media design and scheduling platforms such as Canva or HubSpot.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people in a collaborative setting.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the Internet.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision.
- Ability to provide initiative and oversee a project with multiple tasks from conception to completion.
- Ability to balance the completion of assigned project tasks, both short and long-term, with the performance of routine duties.
- Ability to meet short deadlines.
- Ability to effectively work in a remote CA-based setting.
- The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Location: Remote employment; candidate/employee must be based in California.
Starting Pay Range: $68,800 to $84,100 annually. The typical hiring range for this position is $68,800 to $76,500 at 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience.
