Chief Technology Officer (Remote)
The Myers-Briggs Company is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to help lead a multi-year digital transformation of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in driving innovation, collaboration and change. As the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product and technology strategies, implementing digital initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance our business operations, products and services, while building a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability. You will also be responsible for technology operations such as information and data security, disaster recovery and business resumption, and technology infrastructure across global offices. Your ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with key stakeholders, including the chief executive, board of directors, and leadership team, will be essential in driving the company's success.
ResponsibilitiesTechnology Leadership:- Foster a cross-functional culture of trust, innovation, and collaboration between the technology and business teams, encouraging experimentation and driving a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Partner with the rest of the global leadership team to refine and execute multi-year corporate strategy and objectives; collaborate with other departments, including marketing, and product management, to define the overall product roadmap and technology strategy, align product and technology initiatives with corporate goals, and support long-term business objectives.
- Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and methodologies to accelerate development and improve operational efficiency; champion the use of relevant technologies to deliver scalable and secure solutions, including generative AI and data analysis.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and software development, and work closely across functions to incorporate them into our technology, product, and operational strategies.
- Address organizational technical debt as needed to mitigate business risk, support future business growth and execute company strategy.
- Define and implement an overall technical data strategy and architecture to ensure the effective management and utilization of data assets and support company product strategy.
Digital Transformation:- Work with product management to define, plan and execute digital initiatives, partner with marketing and business operations to enhance customer experience, optimize internal processes, and drive scalable revenue growth.
- Identify and implement digital tools and platforms that support the company's product strategy and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address digital skill gaps, ensuring the organization is well-equipped for the digital age.
Team Leadership and Management:- Lead and develop a high-performing global internal technology team, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise to support the company's evolving technology needs, and partners effectively with business groups.
- Employ a deliberate and strategic hiring/outsourcing approach to expand team capacity and expertise while closely managing costs.
- Promote a positive work environment that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
Technology Operations:- Organize and manage a diverse technology environment that includes many different systems, cloud providers, platforms, and global offices while looking for efficient ways to consolidate and simplify.
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting for the technology department in conjunction with finance leadership.
- Oversee the management of multiple ERP systems and their consolidation to Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and outsourced providers, ensuring effective delivery of technology services and solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business resumption plans, communication protocols, and escalation procedures to ensure the availability and continuity of critical systems and business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust information security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the company's digital assets and sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and data retention policies.
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technology leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading digital and cultural transformations within organizations.
- Strong understanding of product strategy and the ability to align technology resources accordingly.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with executives, board members, staff and other stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of core technologies including .NET, Node, content management systems, Azure, AWS, and ERP systems, Microsoft D365 experience preferred.
- Experience with SaaS-based subscription platforms/models.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable technology plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for driving technology innovation and organizational change.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Further Benefit Package details:
The national pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $270,000 and $320,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position includes eligibility for the annual company executive bonus plan based on achievement of company goals in addition to a full range of health insurance, life, disability, retirement (including 401k) and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, volunteer time dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
