* Software Experience: NX modeling experience is a MUST, no level specific, must be experience with NX. Experience with NX Team Center is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION
* The right candidate will develop solutions to complex engineering/scientific problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and modification of standard techniques and analytical methods. Viewed as an expert in the field within the organization. Possibly an emerging authority in the company. Guides the successful completion of major programs and projects; may function in a project leadership role. May be a CRE for complex components. Poor decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational/program objectives. Work is performed independently. Exercises considerable latitude in determining the technical objective of the assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Provides mentorship to others to further their discipline or the company.

JOB SUMMARY
This engineering function provides engineering design, systems integration, subcontract management, product technical support and anomaly resolution for the Propulsion fluids systems (cryogenic, non-cryogenic, hydraulics and pneumatics).
* Support development of propulsion sub-system and component designs
* Ensure all designs satisfy overall launch vehicle and sub-system requirements
* Background and experience with mechanical and fluid system designs
* Ability to support system integration and system level trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturing, produce-ability and performance
* NX modeling experience

JOB DUTIES
* Develops system and component designs and requirements to satisfy overall propulsion systems requirements. The position requires mechanical design capability as well as understanding dynamic, structural and fluids analysis concepts.
* Must have the capability to perform system integration and perform system level trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturing, Productivity and performance. Generates engineering drawings as well as assembly and testing requirements.
* Provides direct support to the suppliers, the factory and the launch site to ensure production schedules are met, resolve anomalies and streamline operations to improve efficiency.
* When anomalies occur, provides causal analysis that leads to effective resolution and corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
* Reviews the as-built product (hardware and associated software) and product test data to certify that the final product configuration and performance meets requirements and is ready for test and/or flight.
* Develops design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improve vehicle performance.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Candidate must have a minimum of 5-9 years in propulsion engineering.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
