The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing strategic and operational Human Resource leadership to the Sheriff's Office. This includes managing employees assigned to Human Resources and providing oversight for: employee relations, including the handling of complaints related to personnel matters and advising the Sheriff and command staff regarding personnel matters; recruitment, selection and onboarding of new employees; promotion processes; employee performance and recognition; training on personnel matters and legal compliance; management coaching and career development; coordination with County People & Culture Department on compensation, classification, payroll, learning and development, leave and benefits. The Human Resources Director will report to the Undersheriff and provides support to all divisions of the Sheriff's Office.
