The Department of Agriculture at Illinois State University is accepting applications for non-tenure track teaching positions. Primary areas in need of coverage include agribusiness (such as strategic agribusiness sales,) animal science (such as introduction to animal science), agronomy, and general education courses (such as Agriculture and the Environment), and related agriculture courses. Applicants with experience in any or all of these subdisciplines are encouraged to apply.

In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year, the Department of Agriculture maintains a pool of qualified persons interested in non-tenure-track teaching positions. Applications are accepted continuously for non-tenure-track positions and reviewed as vacancies become available.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications

1. Master's degree in Agriculture or related fields.

2. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.

1. Teaching experience in the community college or 4-year university level.

2. Demonstrated commitment to hands-on learning and/or teaching laboratory course sections (science courses).

3. Experience in teaching using online and/or course management software (Canvas).

4. Demonstrated commitment to our university core values of learning and scholarship, individualized attention, diversity and inclusion, civic engagement, respect, integrity, and collaboration.

5. Ability to teach general education courses in agriculture or related field to support the teaching mission of the Agriculture Department.
