Job Description

Position Title: Personal Lines Account Manager Level 2

Reporting Manager Title: Personal Lines Service Team Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shall remain updated and current with regard to statutory insurance requirements by completing and maintaining all regulatory training and requirements.
  • Shall maintain a high degree of professionalism, ethics and integrity.
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers by responding in a timely manner.
  • Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Receives, maintains and updates electronic files following agency standards using Agency Management System (AMS360).
  • Submits policy changes through carrier websites and verifies accuracy and coverage adequacy of policies.
  • Processes renewals and remarkets, as needed.
  • Generates documents and produces correspondence to satisfy client service requests or to provide automated information, as needed by client.
  • Receive and post all payments to customer accounts.
  • Proactively identifies client's needs and establishes key relationships by identifying and closing sell opportunities.
  • Tracks, monitors, and reports weekly/monthly prospecting activity and sales results to direct manager.
  • Maintains adequate knowledge of procedures, coverage, and the industry knowledge to effectively manage client accounts.
  • Advocates for and seeks out process changes or improvements in relation to insurance trends in the marketplace.
  • Actively participates in organizational or functional projects or process improvement teams.
  • Actively engage in networking activities such as Chamber and Credit Union events to build and promote brand awareness.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Requires Texas Department of Insurance P&C license or the ability to obtain license within 60 days of hire date.
  • Two-year degree in relevant field or an equivalent mix of education and customer service/sales experience is required.

Experience:

  • This position requires minimum of three years of related industry experience in customer service, sales and delivery.
  • Knowledge of AMS360 is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with independent carriers active in personal lines market is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and strategic and creative thinking abilities.
  • Ability and comfort level to identify the client's needs and underwriting concerns with respect to their homes, autos, umbrellas, and rental properties.
  • Demonstrates effective time management.
  • Assumes responsibility for achieving results.
  • Passion for accuracy.
  • Continually learns and stays apprised of current trends in the insurance marketplace.
  • Builds collaborative and productive relationships within the organization.
  • Proficient in relevant software including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new technology.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus. Preferably Spanish.

    While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to stand, walk, and sit. An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to perform essential position functions.

    This position may require travel up to 20% of the time based on business needs. Will require participation in evening and weekend events for networking and lead generation. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
