Job Description

Parexel has an exciting home-based opportunity for a seasoned professional to fill the role of Partnership Lead, Director. The person selected for this role should have extensive experience within the CRO industry, as well as demonstrated client management skills and a strong understand of both sales and delivery.

The Partnership Lead, Director is responsible for developing the infrastructure to support the growth, consistent quality and profitable execution of our client partnerships. They will interface with the rest of Parexel to guide on making any necessary modifications to the standard Parexel operating model, process and / or data model to support execution of work under a partnership. Additionally, they will establish both internal and external governance of Parexel Client partnerships while sharing best practices and lessons learned with other members of the Partnership Office and across account teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the pursuit of partnering opportunities through content development, responses to RFIs, RFPs, etc. and presentations
  • Lead the development of, and either directly or supporting responsible for, the build, implementation and maintenance of a Partnering Development Plan, including:
    • Governance Structure (internal and external)
    • Partnership Documentation (executed by SMEs)
    • Partnership Metrics & Key Performance Indicators
    • Training Plans (executed by pTL's)
    • Communication Plan (as appropriate)
  • Accountable for organizing the -maintenance/sustainability of the operating/partnering model (i.e. facilitation of partnership operation manual updates, etc.)
  • Work with relevant functions to identify any necessary updates to the standard Parexel operating model, data structure and / or standards
  • As reporting needs change, leverage standard Parexel reporting criteria and metrics and socialize with sponsor counterparts to ensure that they meet business needs
  • Establish and maintain partnering best practices across all elements of partnering
  • Consult on and recommend models/approaches customized to fit Client and Parexel needs
  • Establish, maintain and present externally and internally on partnering best practices
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing to create material to publish Parexel's experience and success in partnering.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Multiple years of previous experience working in pharmaceutical services environment, preferably in a CRO, Life Sciences Company or consulting background specializing in life sciences.
  • Preferred experience in both sales and delivery roles. Strong drug development knowledge an advantage.

Education:

  • BS degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Strategic and/or consulting skills in helping clients maximize short- and long-term goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships.
  • Experience leading or championing change management initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationships and to communicate at senior management level.
  • Solid understanding of the principles of drug discovery and development
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Ability to influence and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients and customers.
  • Experience in presenting, packaging and proposing relationship models to demonstrate value and potential return on investment to clients.
  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial drive blending urgency, strategic thinking, and an awareness of influencing behavior in a global environment.
  • Highly effective communicator at all levels with both clients and internally. Must be open and direct with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a demanding, fast paced environment and be capable of reacting swiftly to changing business demands.
  • Should be driven to deliver quality results on time and in a highly ethical and professional manner.
