As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum equipment run time. In this management role, you will be a key partner between Production and Engineering to drive the maintenance team to deliver reliable equipment at optimal cost.


* Oversee the work activities and training of 5 direct reports and 50 indirect reports.
* Provide direction to maintenance staff and ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all city, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met throughout the company.
* Review the operation of plant equipment and systems regularly to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, and PM compliance.
* Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
* Order equipment and perform upgrades/changes.
* Works with Management to attain goals, develop policies, and carry out strategies to increase profitability and success of the company.
* Manages department for safety and compliance with established policies for an accident-free workplace.
* Up to 10 % travel required.


* Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Operations Management, Engineering or other related field or years of experience in lieu of a degree.
* Minimum of 5+ years Maintenance experience, preferred within food manufacturing.
* Minimum of 3+ years management/leadership experience.

In-depth knowledge in repairs and maintenance of processing equipment and systems (within a food manufacturing facility, preferred).
* Able to lead, coach and mentor a technical team, and influence change at all levels of the organization.
* Can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and financial data.
* Sound technical skills, logical ability, and problem-solving skills with an operational focus.
* Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
* Able to gather and analyze data to deliver presentations and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and oral communications skills.
* Able to respond to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
