Job Description

The Senior Director, Strategic Resource Lead is responsible for the oversight of a team of Managers and indirect reports of individual contributors. The Senior Director is an experienced leader capable of working independently, as well as providing strategic direction and guidance to the Resourcing managers and their teams, supporting on-time delivery of high-quality resourcing solutions results for an assigned region (Biotech: Americas, EMEA, APAC) or (ENT key accounts). Additionally, the Senior Director plays a leading role in building, implementing, and overseeing best in class resourcing solutions to support Customer, business, and individual needs. Engages with cross-functional senior stakeholders within the business (e.g. GPL Commercial, GCO) to drive Account level resourcing strategies, influence change and challenge assumptions. Adapts resourcing models and approaches to an ever-changing corporate environment.

Strategic & Analytical (50%)

Develop, maintain, and present a holistic account and pan-account level 3-6 month, go-forward Resourcing Strategy Plan.

Operational Oversight (50%)

Point person, facilitating escalation resolution for unmet need, backfill strategies and proposed gap closure solutions - within the account in the first instance and collaborating with the ADL/CDD, GPL leadership team and resource planners to identify potential solutions from outside of the account as needed. Support the usage of the CV database and SEMS data to support resourcing solutions, ensuring the accuracy of both databases is optimized.

Skills / Experience

  • 2 + years of line management experience
  • 10+ years of Resource Planning experience in CRO preferred, would consider pharmaceutical field
  • Understanding of clinical research platforms required - Planisware preferred
  • Understands principles and how to approach resourcing
  • Experience creating metrics. KPI's
  • Experience with process improvements
  • Strong advocate of customer/client service
  • Professional, balanced, calm under pressure
  • Comfortable liaising with and presenting to more senior levels within the organization

  • Demonstrate good business acumen and understanding of clinical research fluid environment (appreciate and expect project/timeline/requirement changes)

Education

Bachelors or Master's degree required; MBA is a plus
