Position Summary
Bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Therapist or Licensed Social Worker to provide mental health treatment in the Latino Family Clinic to school aged children, teens, young adults and families.
Understanding of Latino cultures strongly preferred
Required to pass hospital sanctioned interpreters' exam
Current or previous use of evidenced based treatment( in masters level academic training clinical placement or employment) with children, teens, adults and/or families, and with supervision provided
Clinician responsible for:
providing treatment to school age children, pre-teens, and older teens with varying psychiatric diagnoses
interacting with team physician and other team members
adherence to Joint Commission documentation requirements
meeting monthly volume of service requirements and provision of case management and outreach to ancillary providers as needed
Professional Licensures/Certifications Professional Licensures/Certifications:
Maryland LGPC, LCPC, LMSW or LCSW-C
Graduate level licensure supervision can be provided if needed
Preferred Education Requirement
Masters degree in counseling or clinical social work from an accredited school
Focus on clinical work with children, pre-teens, teens and families is preferred but not mandatory
Preferred Years of Experience and/or Skills Masters level academic clinical placement or employment in a setting working with children, teens, young adults and/or families for minimum period of 6 months is required
